Showdown with the Ducks

Oregon Ducks at Arizona St. Sun Devils, Oct 25, 2008 7:00 PM MST

So, Sun Devil stadium will be packed with families since it is Family Weekend at ASU so the crowd might be a little wonky today. Other than that, we have pretty much lined out what the Devils need to do to take this one.

Injury report and Team stats after the jump.

Star-divide

Arizona State
QB Rudy Carpenter, probable, ankle
RB Keegan Herring, probable, hamstring
DT David Smith, probable, neck
K Thomas Weber, probable, wrist
LB Brandon Magee, questionable, pectoral
RB Jarrell Woods, questionable, ankle
CB Jonathan Clark, out, knee
S Clint Floyd, out, lacerated kidney
S Angelo Fobbs-Valentino, questionable, knee
OL Matt Hustad, out, Knee
TE Dan Knapp, out, knee

About what we expected. Knapp is a bummer. Carpenter and Herring seem to be continually dinged up.  Magee is inching closer to a return.

Oregon
RB Remene Alston, out, foot
LB Terrance Pritchett, out, suspension
CB Walter Thurmond, probable, hip
QB Justin Roper, probable, knee
OL Fenuki Tupou, questionable, knee
DE Dominic Glover, questionable, back
OL C.E. Kaiser, probable, undisclosed

Not quite as injured as us. Alston being out shouldnt matter too much with the Ducks depth. Roper's knee might ensure Masoli plays the whole game.

Yikes...

Looks like the Devils are going to be staying home for bowl season. We’ll probably still beat Wazzu and hopefully beat UDub, but…does anyone really see us beating UCLA, much less Oregon State and the rats? 5 wins would represent a successful finish for the season at this point.

And even if that happens we could only say "successful" very loosely
