CougCenter Reveals Pac-10 Power Poll; ASU #3
CougCenter has decided to start a Pac-10 Power Poll, and is gunning for full Pac-10 blog participation here at SB Nation. There are 8 Pac-10 blogs, and so far 4 of them have signed on to vote in the Power Poll.
How it works: Our friends over at CougCenter have each blog rank the conference 1 through 10, and then assigns a point value for each score. For example, the team ranked #1 gets 10 points, and the team ranked #10 gets 1 point. Easy, right? Lets get to the rankings.
1. USC (40)
2. Oregon (35)
3. Arizona State (32)
4. Cal (29)
5. UCLA (23)
6. Arizona (20)
7. Stanford (16)
8. Washington (11)
9. Oregon State (10)
10. Washington State (4)

I am a little dismayed by Oregon's overall higher ranking. They have beaten Utah State and Washington. They lost a lot of talent after last year, and I think it is difficult to put Oregon ahead of the experience of Rudy Carpenter and the depth of ASU's skill positions. Then again, I'm horribly biased.
Until next week's vote!

Poll dancing
Interesting idea those Cougs have. And what a bunch of guys!
Anyway, your dismay at your beloved Devils coming in at 3 seems way premature. I mean, it’s only after two games – both against soft opposition. I doubt very much that anyone knows anything about the 2 – 4 teams yet other than:
1) they aren’t $C
2) they’ve won two games
Wait until at least the fourth week. Your match against Georgia should go a long way to showing how potent you are (along with an indicator of how likely Carpenter is to blow his top in any given game).
Good luck (as if you’ll need it) against UNLV.
Go Bears!
Wow! Hell of a community you got going here.
Hey good try though. You have to get those ASU alums reading and writing somehow.
Go Cats!
