ASU B-Ball Roundup

So, after a busy week here we are.

ASU had a pretty humbling lost a week ago today. We were riding high. I mean, we were #14 and were cruising along with an 8 game winning streak before Cal came in, shut down Harden, dominated our zone, and sent us packing with a double digit loss.

Good teams don't go on losing streaks. It was a testament to Sendek that we turned around and absolutely dominated both Oregon teams.

The game against Oregon State, a team who has certainly turned things around after not winning a single Pac-10 game last season, saw ASU shooting 65%. We also held them to 38 points. A division 1 college basketball team scored 38 points in 40 minutes. Haha.

The crowd didn't sit for nearly 7 minutes in the second half because that is how long it took for the Beavers to score.

Lets hope Pendergraph's sprained MCL gets better though because he has not been too effective.

Stats from the game after the jump.

Nice to see McMillan with a good game. Other than that, pretty standard stuff. Really great game defensively.

Oregon was more of the same, Pendergraph struggled and fouled out in 19 minutes of play, Harden kicked some ass. McMillan was good off the bench, Glasser had a really solid game. One thing to keep an eye on is this:

The Sun Devils had a scary moment late in the first half, when Harden limped off the floor with a left toe injury. He stretched out on the floor in front of the bench and was treated by a trainer but soon re-entered the game.

"He's a lot like a running back right now who's getting a lot of carries," Sendek said. "He's getting beat up a little bit."

Hmm. Maybe when we are up by 20, we could dig a little deeper into the bench Sendek?

He seemed in a good mood though, so it is nothing serious, but there is a lot of season left.  We are also shooting 51.8% on the season - second in the nation. Nice.
