Day of Pac-10 Blowouts: Bad Omen For The Sun Devils?

UCLA is shutting out Washington State 26-0 at halftime. Oregon State took Washington behind the woodshed to the tune of 48-21. Stanford went into the Coliseum and made #12 USC look like a Juco squad, 55-21. The full Pac-10 scoreboard can be seen here.

Will the Sun Devils be able to avoid the blowout in Autzen tonight? Judging by the prodigious disparity in production by Oregon and ASU's respective offenses, all signs point to no.

Unless Brock Osweiler can come out and run a balanced offensive attack, we may be in for a long evening in Eugene. Seeing true freshman Matt Barkley struggle against the Cardinal was not an encouraging sight for our young signal caller, who is making his first career start in lieu of Danny Sullivan, who is out with a biceps injury.

The game begins in three hours, and until then we have California/Arizona to watch and enjoy. Hopefully the Golden Bears can beat the Kitties. I couldn't bear to see Arizona in the Rose Bowl. The only two truly realistic candidates for the Pac-10 crown, Arizona and Oregon, will face off next weekend in Tucson.

The Pac-10 champion will play Ohio State in the Rose Bowl, continuing the trend of Ohio State's involvement in a BCS bowl. Lets just hope that our representative can win the game handily. That brings us to our depressing poll of the day...

I like how the poll results look like someone giving the middle finger.

Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan.

No band-wagoner fans allowed, pick a team and stick with em, throughout the good and the bad.
