The Evening Edition: SB Nation Partners With Yahoo! Sports
In a big move for House Of Sparky and the rest of SB Nation, we are proud to inform you that Yahoo! Sports and SBN have partnered up.
This was officially announced this evening at the Blog Huddle by SB Nation's great CEO, Jim Bankoff.
How will this work, exactly?
Take a look at the Minnesota Timberwolves Yahoo! team site. Halfway down the page, you can see a box that features blog posts by Canis Hoopus, the SBN T'Wolves blog.
This will, most likely, mean a few things for our site:
1. We will receive a lot more visitors to the site, and
2. There will be a lot more community building going on.
These are both great steps forward for SBN and House Of Sparky, and we are very excited to see these partnerships expand our readership and our lively debates about ASU sports.
Quoted from Blog Huddle, thanks to RockMNation, the Mizzou blog:
As members of our communities or readers of our sites, you already know that SB Nation takes a different approach to online sports. Our focus has always been on empowering fans to participate in conversations that are specific to their particular teams, leagues or sports. We’ve watched over the years as the popularity of this unique approach has rapidly accelerated.

Relevant pages of Yahoo Sports will now feature contextual links to specific SB Nation communities. Many other pages of Yahoo Sports will feature SB Nation content and links. The great news is that more sports fans will be introduced to SB Nation sites.
Editor's note: The college team pages are scheduled for later rollout. However, you can see fruits of the new partnership with the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB team sites.
Soon, ASU's team page will feature our blog posts. We are very excited, and we hope you are too.

No offense, but...
I dearly hope this doesn’t affect the quality of the SBN sites. Dr. Saturday had a bit of a curve (not his fault) when his site went from SBN over to Rivals/Yahoo as the more mainstream commenters acted like nitwits, until they figured that it was a bit more intelligent than most blogging communities. The team specific sites though could keep things more heated. I’d love to see more traffic and activity here, but not if it’s gonna bring a bunch of trolls.
yup
I think in this site’s case, it needs more users. But, I think for the majority of SBN sites, especially those about very popular teams, it might end up being a big headache.
But, still, congrats!
