ASU's Davis and Nixon Named Preseason First-Team All-Pac-10 by Lindy's

In all, eight Sun Devils honored with preseason conference honors.

TEMPE, Ariz.--Arizona State University senior linebacker Mike Nixon and senior defensive end Dexter Davis have been named to Lindy's 2009 Pacific-10 Preseason All-Conference Team. Six other Sun Devils were honored with second-team preseason All-Pac-10 honors. Senior wide receiver Chris McGaha, senior offensive lineman Shawn Lauvao, punt returner Kyle Williams and junior placekicker Thomas Weber were named to the Offense Second-Team. Sophomore defensive lineman Lawrence Guy and defensive back Omar Bolden were given Defense Second-Team accolades.

This is promising for our defense. Mike Nixon has been invaluble at the linebacker position since his enrollment.
