1st Quarter Recap
Defense came out looking tough – penalties led to two scores for the Bulldogs.
Offense has had penalty issues as well, but we ran the ball well and saw a nice pass play. The team finds itself down 11 already, however, and the game can quickly become out of reach if ASU is unable to put at least another 3 on the board.

A few untimely penalties are the difference in the score here. ASU has only been outgained by 40 yards total (128 – 168) and has actually held the ball 4 minutes longer.
The problem is we can run the ball but Danny Sullivan and the passing game are losing this game for the Sun Devils. Unless Erickson can figure out the issue, I think we are in for a loss and it might be time to already start considering beginning the Brock Osweiler era. Danny Sullivan looks THAT bad. He is 4-15 for 69 yards and 1 INT. He has overthrown nearly every incompletion and is continually making slow, incorrect reads. He is panicking in the pocket, and cannot hit his receivers in stride. At this point, Danny Sullivan is not a Pac-10 quarterback.

I just wish that they would air the games on some local channel everyone gets in Arizona instead of ESPN U.

I was at the McClintock/Tempe High game last night and one of the Tempe High people ran into an Umpire
He wasn’t flagged.
Thank God ASU wasn’t called for it, the Refs usually seem like stiff jackasses who will flag someone for raising their voice at them.
