Sun Devils Visit Nevada: The Wolf Pack Are Bad
The Nevada Wolf Pack are 2-7 on the season, losing to such powerhouses like Pepperdine, Pacific, and Boston University. With that said, ASU (4-4) is in no position to take a road game for granted.
So what happened to Nevada? They lost their best player, Luke Babbitt, who now plays for the Idaho Stampede of the NBA D-League. That type of talent is hard to replace for a WAC team that is based out of Reno. What we're seeing is a rebuilding year for the Wolf Pack.
So, what do the Sun Devils need to do to take home the win? Run the offense through their experienced players and let fate take care of the rest. Ty Abbott, Jamelle McMillan, and Rihards Kuksiks alone should be able to outmaneuver the Wolf Pack, though the talent of Trent Lockett and Kyle Cain will come in handy.
In short, this will be a good game for ASU to play on the road and get used to wearing alternate colors. Other than that, expect a lopsided victory for the Sun Devils.

Whoa
Hold it dude. You are Arizona State, not UCLA or Arizona. Do you realize that this “WAC team based out of Reno” has won twice as many tournament games as you since 2000, and put more guys into the NBA?
We also stole Duke transfer Olek Czyz from you(who will play his first game for us tomorrow).
Good luck in the game tomorrow, and I think ASU is the better team at the moment(we are ridiculously young and starting 3 true freshman, we will be a very good team next year). However, the elitism is just silly, just because you’re in the pac ten doesn’t make you good. You guys haven’t been relevant in basketball or football for a long time.
Hmmmm...
More to the NBA…maybe, but have any of them ever made an impact? Both teams are pretty mediocre when it comes to bball and football as of late. But, ASU dominated Nevada on the football field last time we played, albeit 5 yrs ago. No one in this matchup has room to brag. We all know how Duke transfers can be disappointing (Boateng), so wait to brag until he puts up the numbers. We as well play a team that consists mostly of Freshmen. Cain/King/Creekmur/Bachynski all get decent playing time. It’ll be a battle.
We're ASU fans, dude
Of course there’s going to be some bias. Nevada is certainly a good basketball school – just not this year. Good luck this evening.
