Sun Devils Given 57% Chance To Win College World Series
Doug Metcalfe scooped up this ridiculously optimistic piece of information from a website called Boyd's World (I've never heard of it, but okay). ASU has been given a 57% chance to win the College World Series.
When it comes to the odds of winning a 64-team tournament, the likelihood should never be a better than 25%. This is especially pertinent in a game such as baseball, where errors and lucky performances can change seasons.
It seems as though the computers love ASU, putting them as overwhelmingly big favorites to win the CWS in Omaha.
Does anyone else have a chance? Cal State-Fullerton is next on the list – with an 8.7% chance of winning it all.

Just FYI, that site is one of the best places to go for college baseball info, particularly if you’re of a statistical bent.
Thanks for the note
I’ll be sure to keep that in mind… wish I was more stat-minded.
