You know it is a mess when Kirk Herbstreit is ripping apart your team in the second quarter. If "lack of discipline" was a term in the dictionary, the 2011 ASU football team photo would be the first thing you saw. And there would be no further explanation necessary.
I honestly don't understand why I cheer for this team after watching this embarrassing first half against Boise State. Penalties, chippyness, and a lack of respect for the game of football were just a few of the problems with ASU's performance in the first half against the Broncos.
Thank goodness we replaced Dennis Erickson, because he lost this team a long time ago. Todd Graham definitely has his work cut out for him as he looks to eradicate the irresponsible nature of the Sun Devils program.
The first step is to get rid of the bad influences on this team. Find the good side and give them the leadership roles. Enough with the tough guy mentality, we're not the Pittsburgh Steelers and we never will be. Lets get disciplined and focus on the positive results that come from playing the game the right way.
Honestly, another year of this will finally alienate the entire ASU fanbase. 2011 was that bad, and it keeps getting worse. We knew Boise State was going to take care of business, but this much embarrassment is hard to take.
At the half, Boise State leads 28-3 over the Sun Devils.
