The entire 2010-2011 basketball season at Mesa High School was electric. The source of this great power, Jahii Carson. The 5'11" point guard, led the Jackrabbits to the semi-finals where they lost a heart breaker to Brophy. In his last game, Jahii dropped 58 points, though he could have had more, had he not fouled out with about 2 minutes left. The sky is the limit for this young man.
With ASU loosing Ty Abbott, Rihards Kuksiks, and Jamelle McMilan, Sendek will have a lot on his plate next season. But will Trent Lockett taking a bigger role in the offense, and the addition of Carson, the future is looking bright for ASU. ASU will look to improve on the very poor PAC-10 record of this year. Half of the Pac-10 wins coming against Oregon.
The signing of Carson is in other ways very good for the Devils. Carson was also considering three other PAC-10 rivals, including U of A, Oregon State, and Washington. But with the help of his grandmother, Carson has made the right choice and committed to the Sun Devils.
