Brandon Dunson To Transfer, ASU Loses Another Player

Stay connected for news and updates

Per the Arizona Republic, Brandon Dunson has asked to be released from his scholarship to Arizona State University. As a junior college recruit, Dunson appeared to have a lot of potential, but saw his minutes disappear when players such as Marcus Jackson and Keala King were inserted into the lineup.

Doug Haller says that Brandon Dunson will likely transfer to an NAIA school so he can play immediately in what will be his senior season.

Coach Herb Sendek has seen a plethora of players leave his program in the last two seasons, and Dunson saw the writing on the wall in his junior season.

Hopefully Dunson finds a place that he will enjoy, and this move allows ASU to recruit another guard to fill his position on the roster. This now makes the news that Sendek was targeting a few JUCO guards a little more logical.

Good luck to Brandon Dunson!
