UPDATE: ASU Basketball: Keala King, Chris Colvin And Kyle Cain Suspended, Not On Trip

UPDATE (3:40pm): Doug Haller now reports that the trio have been suspended for "unacceptable conduct" and their continued status with the team will be revisited next week. This is Colvin's second suspension from head coach Herb Sendek in the span of less than a month. These moves leave the Devils with just six scholarship players for tonights game

Oh boy. The beginning of ASU basketball's Pac-12 conference schedule might have just gotten a little harder. According to Doug Haller, a source has indicated that three players- including two starters- are not with the ASU basketball team for the trip to Los Angeles:

There is no word yet on why the three may not be traveling with the team. If true, the loss of Keala King and Kyle Cain from the starting lineup will be costly for the Sun Devils. Both average more than 25 minutes per game while collectively contributing over 20 points and 10 rebounds each game. Colvin has averaged 23.5 minutes off of the bench in the last two games, another significant period of time that ASU will need to replace if the report is indeed true.

The Sun Devils head west to play the two Los Angeles teams- the USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins- over the next three days. Tonight, ASU faces off against the Trojans before taking on the Bruins on Saturday.

ASU started out its Pac-12 conference schedule with a loss at rival Arizona last week. Unfortuantely, it appears that the team may be down three players for its second and third conference games.
