The spring sports season is in full effect this weekend, as the baseball team opens their season. It's an action-packed weekend all around, and with much of the fun happening in Tempe, make sure to get out and support your Sun Devils.
Here is a day-by-day look at what's going on.
It's an active start to the weekend on the diamond, as both the baseball and softball teams are hosting midwestern foes.
The 15th ranked baseball team opens the season with a series against Western Michigan in the first meeting between these two programs. First pitch is at 6:30pm, as Brady Rogers will get the start on the mound for the Devils.
The 5th ranked softball team will play a pair as they begin play in the Littlewood Classic. At 5:30pm, they will take on Central Michigan, and then battle Iowa at 7:30.
A bust day sees five ASU teams in action.
The day begins at 1:00pm, as the baseball team's series continues against Western Michigan. Freshman lefty Adam McCreery will get the start for ASU.
An hour later, the women's basketball team host Washington State, with the men's team tipping off against the Cougars at 5:00 up in Pullman.
The Littlewood Classic rolls on for the defending national champion softball team with another pair of games on Saturday night. First up is Minnesota at 5:30 and then Iowa State at 7:30
In all-day action, the track and field team will be in Flagstaff participating in the NAU Tune-Up.
The day opens at 11:30am, when the softball team faces off against Illinois State.
Baseball's opening series action concludes on Sunday at 12:30pm when Trevor Williams takes the hill.
In the final Sun Devil action of the weekend, the gymnastics team looks to rebound from two straight defeats as they host Illinois at Wells Fargo Arena, beginning at 2:00pm.
