Trent Lockett Receives Release From ASU Basketball Team, Per Report

According to CBS Sports, ASU basketball star Trent Lockett has been released from his scholarship by Arizona State. He will be transferring closer to home to be closer to his mother, who has a very serious case of cancer according to ASUDevils.com.

This is the 12th player to transfer out of the Sun Devils basketball program over the past four years, though no one can be blamed for the awful scenario behind Lockett's decision. Lockett, a native of Golden Valley, Minnesota, will likely look to schools in the Big Ten and other local schools in Minnesota.

We here at House Of Sparky wish Trent Lockett nothing but the best in the future, and we will be praying for his mother's recovery at this critical juncture in his young life. Nothing is more important than family, and Lockett is doing a very respectable thing by deciding to head back and support his mother's fight.
