ASU Football: How the Sun Devils' opponents fared in week 12

Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

3/4 of the season down, and ASU is in the driver's seat.

With only three games left in the regular season, the Pac-12 South is still up for grabs between several teams. Arizona State, USC and UCLA all have a realistic shot at winning the crown and representing the division in the Pac-12 Championship Game.

For now, lets see what the rest of ASU's schedule looks like.

Nov. 16 Oregon State: Oregon State (6-3) had a bye, and I can guarantee you they were taking notes during the ASU vs. Utah game on Saturday. For two weeks now, the Sun Devils have faced teams coming off a bye, and we go for the trifecta this weekend. Sean Mannion and company will have some tricks up their sleeves, showing looks ASU has not seen on tape. This could get interesting.

Nov. 23 UCLA: The Bruins (7-2) defeated Arizona in Tucson. UCLA held off Ka'Deem Carey and the Wildcats in the fourth, winning by five. Carey did pick up 149 rushing yards, and at this point everyone anticipates him picking up huge chunks of yardage in the Pac-12. The stage is set for a huge showdown in Pasadena next Saturday if the Sun Devils and Bruins can take care of business against good opponents (UCLA gets Washington at home).

Nov. 30 Arizona: Oh, Arizona (6-3). You lost to UCLA at home, 31-26. A good effort, to be sure, but not good enough. Arizona did hold up a little better than I anticipated, which could mean two things: the Wildcats are a little better than expected, or the tough road atmosphere took its toll on UCLA. Either way, there are no easy wins left on the Sun Devils' schedule.
