Arizona State received word on defensive tackle recruit Kammy Delp, who decided to take his talents to Tempe.

Arizona State is losing at least eight starters on defense, but the Sun Devils found out on Sunday night that they will be adding some new talent on their defensive line in 2014.

3-star defensive tackle recruit Kammy Delp announced his commitment to Arizona State during the first quarter of the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl game on Sunday evening.

Delp's decision appeared to come down to Arizona State and UCLA, but he chose the Sun Devils over offers from Arizona, Oregon State, and Washington as well.

The Pomona, Calif. native attends Diamond Ranch High School and started at both offensive guard and defensive tackle for the Panthers this season. Delp recorded 7.0 sacks, 16.0 tackles for loss, and 70 tackles as a senior while leading his team to a 9-2 record.

Delp stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 305 pounds and is agile for an interior lineman. He has also showed off his athleticism on the basketball court as a varsity player during his sophomore and junior seasons.

Adding Delp to the fold gives the Sun Devils a second commitment at defensive tackle. Arizona State has already received a verbal pledge from fellow Calif. native Tashon Smallwood who weighs about 20 pounds less than Delp.

Delp made his official visit to Arizona State on Nov. 29, 2013, and the Sun Devils' 58-21 victory over rival Arizona that weekend likely influenced his decision.

In his television interview, Delp said that he will still take two more official visits to Washington and Oregon State which indicates his commitment is not a done deal for the Sun Devils.

Three other Arizona State commitments are also participating in the Semper Fidelis All-American game including quarterback Manny Wilkins, running back Demario Richard, and wide receiver Tyler Whiley.

Delp's senior season highlight tape is available here.
