The Sun Devils and the Ducks. Oregon vs. ASU. The die has been cast: this game of incredible importance is slated to begin at 6:00 PM Pacific tonight. But why wait until tonight to find out how it goes down?
#3 Oregon entered Sun Devil Stadium looking to keep their undefeated record going against a tough Arizona State squad led by Taylor Kelly and DJ Foster. According to NCAA 13, they succeeded, dismantling ASU 52-21 despite a sellout crowd at Sun Devil Stadium.
It was a rough game from the beginning, as Oregon held ASU scoreless for the entire first half. The Ducks dominated time of possession, retaining the ball for 38:15 while Arizona State had the ball for only 21:45.
Lets break down the key stats from this dreadful simulation which in no way reflects reality or what will actually happen in Tempe tonight (praise be to Sparky).
De'Anthony Thomas was the star of the game, rushing for 158 yards with two touchdowns on 26 carries. The ASU defense had no answer for him. The Sun Devils had no one worthy of praise.
Lets hope for a better result tonight, that's all I can say.
Editor's note: The NCAA 13 simulation in previous weeks took a backseat to my real life job responsibilities. It's back with a vengeance for ASU's most important game of the season against Oregon.
