Overview:
The second of our 2009 JC transfers, a 2008 graduate of Cerritos (Calif.) College...enrolled at ASU in January and will participate in spring drills. Had three years to play two at ASU. Is one of four midyear enrollees and one of two junior college transfers in ASU's 2009 class. Attended the same high school as current Sun Devil men's basketball standouts James Harden and Derek Glasser.

Scouting Report:
Boasts phenomenal speed and a 4.29-second 40-yard dash time at the Cerritos Combine in May of 2008. An excellent playmaker in the secondary and a striking threat on sepcial teams units.

Junior College Career
Led Cerritos with 3 INTs as a sophomore in 2008, one of which he returned 49 yards for a TD. Totaled 53 tackles (29 solo) on the year, as well as 6 defended passes, 2 blocked kicks, and 1.5 TFL. Averaged 31.3 yards on kickoff returns, including an 80-yard TD. Posted at least 4 tackles in 8/11 games on the year. Collected a season-high 12 tackles (5 solo) and a TFL, an INT, and a defended pass in the season finale against Palomar on Nov. 22, 2008. Attended College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California as a freshman in 2007. Coached by Frank MAzzotta at Cerritos College.
High School Career
A 2007 graduate of Artesia High School in Los Angeles, California, paced Artesia with 148 total tackles (64 solo) as a senior. Averaged 13.5 tackles-per-game. Added 3 sacks, 2 INTs, and 1 FR. Led the Pioneers with 1,230 rushing yards on 138 carries (8.9 avg.) with 14 rushing TDs as a senior in 2006. Averaged 111.8 rushing yards-per-game as a senior. Also led Artesia in receiving with 47 catches for 505 yards (10.8 avg.) with 5 TDs. Posted at least 10 tackles in 10/11 games and had no fewer than 9 tackles in a game on the year. Recorded 15 or more tackles in 6 games. Totaled 19 TDs and scored at least once in 9/11 games. ran for over 100 yards 7 times, and had 60 or more receiving yards in six contests. Led th Pioneers in receiving as a junior in 2005, totaling 701 yards on 56 catches (12.5 avg.) with 14 TD catches. Was second on the team with 76 tackles (33 solo) and added 5 blocked kicks, 2 INTs, 2 sacks, and 2 FR. Ranked third on the squad in rushing, carrying 50 times for 374 yards (7.5 avg.) with 7 TDs. Collected 29 tackles (11 solo) as a sophomore in 2004. Tied for the team-high with 3 sacks, and 2 INTs and added 1 FR. Coached by Norm Flowers at Artesia High School.

The Decision
Committed to the Sun Devils on Dec. 14, 2008. Chose ASU over Boise State, California, and South Florida.

The Verdict:
Naturally, the speed and playmaking ability stands out throughout his football career. Look for him to return kicks and get some time in immediately at corner. His coverage skills aren't touched on much but he sounds dangerous with the ball in his hands.
