Gardner-Webb Vs. ASU: Sun Devils Look To Bounce Back Against Runnin' Bulldogs

Gardner-Webb is a private Christian university located in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. They are currently 6-6 on the season, with their signature victory coming against Charlotte in the season opener.

The Runnin' Bulldogs visit ASU after playing Oklahoma in Norman, losing 71-58 in a fairly close battle. This team appears to be pretty good, and is certainly not an automatic victory for the Sun Devils.

Jon Moore is Gardner-Webb's best player, a senior guard who is averaging 15.9 points a game. Trent Lockett and the Sun Devils zone will have difficulty shutting down this player, as he can also shoot well from beyond the arc.

The Sun Devils have had a full week to prepare for this game; a break was much-needed after ASU lost three straight games and appeared to be forcing a lot of plays. With only five games left on the out-of-conference schedule, racking up some victories is essential at this juncture.

I'm a little concerned about this matchup, especially after seeing our poor performance against teams like Houston Baptist and Weber State. But seeing that the Bulldogs went 8-21 last season, you can bet that ASU will win this game.
