For all intents and purposes, Milwaukee is a bad team. They are 33-24 on the season and are only here because they made a run through the loser's bracket of the Horizon League tournament. But here they are, anyway, taking on our 47-8 Sun Devils.
I personally don't think this should be much of a contest, but baseball is a funny sport in that any team can win on a given day. The Royals beat the Yankees from time to time. Lets just hope this doesn't ring true at 8:00 PM tonight. If you can make it to Tempe, go cheer for the boys at Packard. It should be a good environment.
In other news:
Seth Blair was named the Pac-10 Pitcher of the Year.
Zack MacPhee was named Pac-10 Player of the Year.
Coach Tim Esmay was named Pac-10 Coach of the Year.
In summation - the best pitcher, the best player, the best coach, the best seeding in the nation. I'm very hopeful that this team can make it to Omaha.
