Honestly, I think Arizona State looks awesome this year. I give them a lot of credit for overcoming that tough Illinois loss and winning against USC, Oregon State and Utah. At 5-1, they are a legit contender for the Pac-12 title this season.
Houston is my surprise of the week, showing up at 6-0 and being a huge mid-major presence on the Top 25. Why are Washington and USC on my ballot, you ask? West Coast Bias!
Not really. Washington has a great team that barely lost to Nebraska and is 4-1 on the season. Likewise, USC's only loss on the season is to ASU, and USC has a very respectable schedule, playing only teams in BCS conferences (and Notre Dame).
As for Georgia Tech, I like them a lot. The triple option is filthy and they could be unstoppable if they can keep the ball in their hands on offense.
Next week, the BCS standings will be released. I am very interested to see how everyone holds up in the computer system.
