The Sun Devils basketball team is coming off an incredibly disappointing 12-19 season. The seniors from that team are gone, and we are left with an athletic, lean, fast team that is going to push the pace in 2011-12. Frankly, I'm excited.
The season begins today against the Montana State Bobcats, a team that struggled last year as well, going 13-18. We're expecting big things this afternoon from Herb Sendek's team, and the starting lineup should include Trent Lockett, Keala King, Kyle Cain, Chris Colvin and Ruslan Pateev.
This team should be better than last year -- or else Sendek will be long gone.
