ASU baseball put together an excellent week playing at home in Tempe, defeating #2 Oklahoma twice and taking two of three from Oral Roberts.

The Devils played in front of a sellout crowd for both games against the Sooners, and the home team didn't disappoint. Jake Barrett pitched the second game and was stellar off the mound, throwing 11 strikeouts and pitching six strong innings to earn his first victory of the season.

The Sun Devils could have capped off the week with five wins, but couldn't hold off Oral Roberts' fifth inning surge on Sunday afternoon. The Golden Eagles improved their record to 8-7 with the series-saving victory, and ASU ended the week with a 15-4 record.

Despite the great week, ASU stayed at 8th overall in the ESPN/USA TODAY Top 25 Coaches Poll.

Lets take a quick look at some of the top performers from Arizona State's baseball team so far in 2011.

Batting average: Austin Barnes is hitting .437, but only has 51 at bats. Johnny Ruettiger has a .337 average after 83 at bats.

RBI: Riccio Torrez, has knocked in 22 runs in 2011.

Pitching: Kramer Chaplin is 3-0 this season, pitching 32.1 innings and giving up only 11 earned runs over the course of five starts.

Other stats of note: RP Trevor Williams has only given up two earned runs in 13.2 innings pitched... Zack MacPhee has walked 19 times, highest on the team.
