ASU Baseball Faces California, Road Trip To Berkeley Begins

After sweeping Washington State this past weekend, the ASU Sun Devils (25-9, 8-4 Pac-10) travel up to the Bay area to take on the California Golden Bears.

All three games this weekend will be afternoon contests, with Thursday and Friday's tilts starting at 2:30 PM while the Saturday finale will launch at 1:00 PM.

The Sun Devils were reeling after getting swept by Oregon State in Corvallis, but they rallied against the Cougars to regain some confidence entering the final leg of their season.

ASU has been consistently good all year long, and for a team with zero postseason prospects, it has been a pleasure for the Sun Devils to achieve such a respectable season so far. With 21 games to go, the Devils could break 40 wins and impress their dedicated fanbase.

California is no slouch this season, however. With a 24-9 record in 2011, the Golden Bears are ranked 15th overall and pose a very credible threat to ASU this weekend. Expect a hard-fought series, and expect the Sun Devils to reign supreme.
