ASU Baseball Does Well In MLB Draft, 11 Players Selected

The 2011 MLB Draft was held this week, and eleven current Sun Devils were selected by Major League clubs.

While there is no standout talent on the ASU roster this season, it is full of quality depth players that play well as a team. Riccio Torrez, ASU's junior third baseman, is likely to sign with the Rays.

Catcher Xorge Carrillo is a senior, and will also likely sign.

With the uncertainty surrounding ASU's 2012 postseason eligility, the Sun Devils might also lose Ruettiger, Barnes and MacPhee to the minor leagues.
