Monday saw a flurry of recruiting activity for the Sun Devils' 2012 class. Two solid commitments were garnered, with Evan Goodman and Stephon McCray agreeing to don the maroon and gold.
First of the day was McCray - he is a prospect out of Fresno, CA. He's a huge guy (6'3", 300 pounds) and could develop into a beast on the O-Line if given the right level of coaching.
SB Nation Arizona reports that "McCray has average ratings from the recruiting sites (5.6 from Rivals, 79 from ESPN, 3 stars from Scout, 82 from 247 Sports), so he doesn't stand out from the fray," but the Sun Devils needed to add depth at this crucial position.
Next up was Goodman, a four star recruit out of Lakeland, Florida. Goodman was highly sought after by quality programs such as Notre Dame, Nebraska, LSU, and Florida, but he decided to go to ASU to join his brother, Devin, who committed last year.
Lets take a look at Goodman's videotape after the jump.
As you can see, he's formidable on the line. Rivals has him as the 33rd best offensive lineman in the 2012 class, which should be a welcome sight for ASU fans.
The commitments keep rolling in, and the future of the Sun Devils football program is looking brighter every day.
