ASU Football 2011 Season Full Of Adversity

The offseason for the Sun Devils has been unprecedented.

Losing so many players to injury is expected, but many of them are key cogs of an ASU team that had championship aspirations going into the fall. ACL tears to Omar Bolden and T.J. Simpson, the retirement of starting quarterback Steven Threet, and Kerry Taylor's negativity in the offseason has created quite the offseason monologue.

These past two weeks haven't been much better, with Vontaze Burfict getting into a fight in the locker roomand Brandon Magee tearing his achilles. The loss of Magee is going to directly impact the defense in ways we may find hard to understand -- he is a vocal leader, someone who can be relied on to step up in big situations.

In the end, the Sun Devils will have to make up for the loss of these seasoned veterans through the youth movement. Who do you think will step up in 2011? Will a younger player step up or will our season get railroaded at the worst possible time?
