It's Tuesday.
Such a day would normally carry with it very little significance, especially now that we're in that dark time between the end of the Sons of Anarchy season and the start of Justified. But not this year.
This is the time of year for giving, and the nation's media outlets are in a very giving mood, especially towards ASU defensive tackle/beast Will Sutton.
He's already secured the Pac-12 Pat Tillman Defensive Player of the Year.
He's already a consensus All-American selection.
So what's the harm in a few more.
Today, Sutton landed first team spots on the AP's All-American squad, as well as Sports Illustrated's team. He now just stands a spot on the FWAA team away from being a unanimous All-American selection. Only two other Sun Devils—Al Harris in 1978 and Terrell Suggs in 2002—have done so.
As if that weren't good enough, Sutton also earned the Pac-12's Morris Trophy, a unique honor in that only opposing linemen in the conference can vote for it. Thus, the offensive linemen of the Pac-12 deemed Sutton the very best.
