After their 7-5 regular season, Arizona State knew they were going bowling for a second straight season. On Sunday night, they learned their destination, as they will head to San Francisco to play Navy in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, as first tweeted by Tim Ring of Channel 3 and ASUDevils.com.
The Sun Devils and Midshipmen will play on December 29th at 4 p.m. EST/2 p.m. Arizona time, with television coverage set for ESPN 2. The game will take place at AT&T park, and tickets range from $25 to $85 and can be purchased here.
ASU shook off a four-game midseason losing streak with a pair of wins, including a thrilling win over rival Arizona to finish 7-5 and assure themselves of a winning record for the first time since 2007.
Navy is currently 7-4 on the year, the fourth under head coach Ken Niumataolo. The Middies will cap the college football regular season next Saturday in their traditional battle against Army. During his tenure, Niumataolo has amassed a 38-25 record, and this year Navy will return to a bowl after missing out in 2011, breaking a run of eight straight years in the postseason.
