The Arizona State Sun Devil men's basketball team had an up and down week: Losing by 18 points to DePaul last Wednesday and beating Dartmouth by 19 on Saturday. Four Sun Devils scored double figures against DePaul, while Jahii Carson led the way with 18 points against Dartmouth. Here are your week five player rankings.
Who's Hot
The Sun (Player of the Week)
Jahii Carson - Carson averaged 15 points and five assists last week. The freshman continues to see major minutes for the Sun Devils, averaging 36 minutes a game in ASU's two games last week. Carson shot just 11-32 from the field his past two games, and was 4-6 from the free throw line.
Best of the Rest
Carrick Felix - Felix posted another double-double, with 13 points and 14 rebounds against Dartmouth. Felix continues to do it all for the Sun Devils, as he ranks second in points per game, fourth in assist, first in steals and is tied for second on the team in rebounding. The senior averaged 32.5 minutes played last week.
Evan Gordon - The junior now ranks third on the team with 11.4 points per game on the season. Gordon averaged 9.5 points a game last week, putting up 12 points, three assists and three rebounds against DePaul. Gordon currently ranks third on the team with 30 assists this season.
Who's Not
Eric Jacobsen - The freshman big man continues his inconsistant season. Jacobsen scored six points against Dartmouth and put up a goose egg against DePaul. Jacobsen only grabbed one rebound last week and shot 3-7 from the field in 18 total minutes of play.
Chris Colvin - The Sun Devil sixth man was quiet last week, scoring only five points total. Colvin took just five shots total last wek, going 2-5 from the field. Colvin has also had trouble finding his teammates, as he had just one assist total in his last two games.
