It is a Merry Christmas indeed for the Arizona St Sun Devils.
The team is in San Francisco getting ready to battle Navy in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, and they've just found a talented wide receiver prospect under the tree.
Today, Jaelen Strong of Pierce College tweeted that he intends to become a Sun Devil:
Just committed to Arizona State University. I believed this was the right decision to make. Thanking God for all he's done for me! #blessed

This represents a major addition to next season's roster at what figures to be the team's biggest area of need. The news of Strong's commitment was first reported by ASUDevils.com.
The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Strong combines that great size with very good speed, clocked at 4.46 in the 40 according to Scout.com. Both Scout and Rivals rank him as a 3-star prospect. Last season, Strong caught 67 passes and led the SCFA with 1,263 yards and 15 touchdowns.
He immediately upgrades the team's weakest position, one that was already underperforming before the upcoming departures of senior starters Jamal Miles and Rashad Ross. Should the transfer go smoothly, he'll be right in the mix for significant playing time.
