The Sun Devils have been busy since our last player rankings. ASU went 1-1 in the Las Vegas invitational and won two games at home this past week. All three of Arizona State's victories came by double digits, the last a 20-point throttling of Sacramento State. Here are your third installment of Arizona State basketball player rankings.
Who's Hot
The Sun (Player of the Week)
Carrick Felix - The senior forward is having quite a season thus far. Felix is averaging 16.1 points per game on the season, which is second on the team. In his last four games, Felix has shot 31-47 from the field and 9-18 from three point territory.
Over his last four games, Felix is averaging 20.8 PPG and 6.8 RPG. Against Sacramento State on Saturday night, Felix recorded his first career double-double, notching 21 points and 12 rebounds. Felix has eight 20-point games as a Sun Devil, three of them in his last four games.
Best of the Rest
Jahii Carson - The freshman from Mesa leads ASU in scoring with 18 points per game. Carson's break out game came against Creighton, where he scored 30 points and dished seven assists. He recorded a career high eight assists against Arkansas Pine-Bluff. Over his last four games, Carson is averaging 17.5 PPG and 5.0 APG.
Evan Gordon - The junior guard broke out of his shooting slump against Sacramento State, notching 29 points and hitting five threes. Gordon has been a lock down defender so far this season. He is tied for the team lead in steals with 14 and ranks second on the team with 19 assists.
Who's Not
Jonathan Gilling - Gilling only posted one game scoring in double figures this past week, only shooting 11-29 from the field. Gilling continues to play big time minutes for the Sun Devils, however compared to his first two weeks, the last four games were subpar for Gilling.
Chris Colvin - Colvin averaged just 5.75 points per game this week, not recording a game in double figures. Colvin struggled to find his shot, only shooting 8-18 from the field. The fact that Colvin only got 18 shots in four games could be concerning to the Sun Devils, as he was a major part of the offense earlier in the season.
