Chanse Creekmur Transferring From ASU Basketball

As reported by the venerable Doug Haller of The Arizona Republic, ASU forward Chanse Creekmur is transferring from the Sun Devils basketball program to play football closer to home.

This is not a total surprise, as Creekmur would likely be buried in the depth chart next year with Jahii Carson, Evan Gordon and Bo Barnes joining the roster and taking a lot of minutes immediately.

Like Haller said, this is the eighth scholarship player to leave Herb Sendek's program in the last four seasons. That number is unacceptable and must stop for the program to gain any traction moving forward. In the past two seasons, Sendek has garned a horrendous 22-39 record and has found many fans to be quite dissatisfied.

2012-13 is clearly Sendek's last chance to right the ship in Tempe before he is run out of town. A starting lineup of Carson, Gordon, Trent Lockett, Jonathan Gilling and Jordan Bachynski will look quite good, especially with Carrick Felix, Kyle Cain and Barnes coming off the bench.
