After a rather disappointing 2012 NFL Draft weekend for the former Arizona State Sun Devils in which only Brock Osweiler and Omar Bolden were drafted (both by Denver), the remaining players hit the market as free agents, able to sign with any team.
With teams ready to pounce as soon as the draft ends, the post-draft signing period is often a landrush of sorts. We've compiled the list of ASU's undrafted players and where they are going, according to some of the latest reports.
WR Gerell Robinson: FOX Sports Inna Lazarev reports that Robinson, not surprisingly based on how this weekend has gone, will be joining Osweiler and Bolden in Denver.
LB Vontaze Burfict: The State Press' Master Tesfatsion reports that Burfict will be heading to Cincinnati to become a Bengal. This is an interesting move, as the Bengals are not exactly the bastion of stability that most believe Burfict needs.
WR Aaron Pflugrad: The Arizona Republic's Doug Haller reports that Pflugrad is expected to join the Philadelphia Eagles. He is the second player from the state to join the team, after Arizona quarterback Nick Foles was drafted in round three.
OL Dan Knapp: Haller also reports that the versatile Knapp will be taking his long locks to Oakland and fittingly becoming a Raider.
LB Shelly Lyons: Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post tweets that Lyons will become a Dolphin.
LB Colin Parker: Lazarev also reported later Saturday night that the blue collar 'backer had signed a deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
C Garth Gerhart: Mike Loyko of NEPatriotsDraft.com initially reported that Gerhart signed a free agent deal with the Patriots, but Tesfatsion confirmed directly from Gerhart that in fact he will be a Cleveland Brown.
OL Aderious Simmons: Haller tweets hat Simmons, a New Orleans native, will go home with a deal from the Saints.
WR Mike Willie: Haller reported Sunday morning that the big-bodied Willie will be a San Diego Charger,
FS Clint Floyd: No news yet.
DE Jamaar Jarrett: Tesfatsion confirmed earlier reports that the troubled defensive end, coming off reports of a failed drug test, has signed with the St. Louis Rams.
SS Eddie Elder: Tesfatsion continues his reporting dominance of the post-draft signings with this tweet, reporting that the Elder will attend the Arizona Cardinals' rookie mini-camp on May 11-13th, and a deal will be contingent upon his performance.
