The oddsmakers at Bovada have released their updated college football odds for the 2012 season, and the USC Trojans are listed as the top team in the nation. Right now, the Trojans sit at 4/1 odds to win the BCS National Championship Game, above LSU at 9/2 and Alabama at 11/2.
Other interesting items: Todd Graham's former school, Pittsburgh, is given a 125/1 chance to win the BCS title. Arizona is at 150/1, while Oregon State and UCLA are 200/1 longshots. Honestly, I'm not sure why they are even being given a chance, other than it being an easy win for the house.
Missouri, currently with 100/1 odds, is my darkhorse candidate for a miracle run to the title. Returning James Franklin and a talented team, the move to the SEC East brings a few fortunate breaks to their inaugural schedule: Alabama will have to visit Columbia, while LSU is not on the Tigers' schedule. If everything goes their way, Mizzou could win ten games this season.
It's up to ASU to prevent that.
