The defending national champion Arizona State softball team put aside a brief speed bump in the form of a 1-0 loss in Sunday's opener to close out both Syracuse and the rest of the region last night, thanks to an excellent performance on the mound from Dallas Escobedo (as if she has any other kind).
Th victory sends the Sun Devils to the next round, where they will host No. 14 seed Louisiana-Lafayette. The best of three series will begin on Thursday, with first pitch set for 7:00pm. Game Two will take place Friday at 6:00pm and a deciding third game--if necessary--will follow later on Friday night.
Thursday's game will be broadcast on ESPN2, with Friday's action seen on ESPNU. For online viewers, head over to ESPN3.com.
We encourage Sun Devil Nation to get on out to Farrington Stadium in Tempe to cheer on the ladies as they make a run at a repeat. All-session passes for the Super Regional will go on-sale today (Monday) at 1:00pm PST. Prices are as follows: field level ($25), reserved level ($22), general admission for adults ($20) and general admission for senior citizens, juniors and groups ($15). For those interested in single-game tickets, those will be made available on Wednesday at 9:00am PST. For tickets, go here.
