A special season needs special moments, and Arizona State's magical run in 1996 had more than it's share.
On October 12th, ASU was in a fierce battle with UCLA. The Bruins jumped out to a commanding 28-7 lead in the second quarter, looking to derail the Sun Devils' 5-0 start to the season.
However, ASU battled back to close the gap to 34-28 in the fourth quarter, but UCLA got the ball with just about seven minutes left. That possession didn't last long, as Damien Richardson recovered a Skip Hicks fumble, giving the Sun Devils a chance to take the lead.
What happened next is one of the most exciting plays in Sun Devil history, and it just so happened to be the eventual game-winning touchdown.
Thanks to JediASU, here is the play for your viewing pleasure:
Legen...wait for it...dary.
