The SEC, long the doormat and laughing stock of the college football world, finally gets some respect after years of never fielding a contender...
In the new SB Nation BlogPoll Top 25, the SEC fields three of the top four spots. The Tide roll on with 89 of the 90 first place votes, with their rivals from LSU right behind them at No. 2. The Georgia Bulldogs come in at No. 4 after Oregon keeps some west coast cred to the list.
USC (down from No. 3 to No. 16) and Michigan State (No. 8 to No. 22) are the week's biggest losers, while Stanford (No. 22 to No. 8) and Northwestern (unranked at No. 34 to No. 23) are movin' on up.
To add a little salt into ASU's wound after Saturday's loss, Arizona is now up to No. 20 after their 56-0 dismantling of South Carolina State. Thankfully for Sun Devil fans, the Wildcats head to Eugene to battle Oregon, so their days of being ranked are almost certainly numbered.
