The first SB Nation BlogPoll Top 25 is out, and anyone who witnessed the whoopin' Alabama put on Michigan will agree that the voters got it right.
"Roll Tide!" most of them cried out in unison, as the defending champs pulled in 81 of the 93 first place votes. USC, coming off of the Marquis Lee track meet that was their 49-10 win over Hawaii, received 10 to come in second. LSU, Oregon and Florida State round out the top five.
As for the rest of the Pac-12 outside of the titans, Stanford tumbled down to No. 25 after their thoroughly uninspiring performance in a 20-17 win over San Jose State. And that's it. Not one else made the cut, and at this point, that's how it should be.
How 'bout the Devils? They're firmly lodged in the middle of the "Others Receiving Votes" group. Even a convincing win over Illinois on Saturday likely won't—nor should—put ASU in the rankings.
Beat Missouri on the road the next week to go 3-0? Yeah, you're damn right the Devils will be in there.
If you missed it, check out our ballot this week, in which Cory REALLY loves Kansas State.
