After earning the Pat Tillman Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year award last week, Sun Devil defensive tackle Will Sutton has more recognition rolling in.

The redshirt senior was a consensus All-American last season and on Thursday, he received First Team All-America honors from USA Today. Sutton has 44 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and an interception this season and will have a chance to add to his totals in the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 30.

Sutton was not the only Sun Devil to receive honors on Thursday as freshman kicker Zane Gonzalez and redshirt freshman linebacker Salamo Fiso were also recipients of national attention.

Gonzalez and Fiso were named to the College Football News Freshmen All-America team. Gonzalez was named the Second Team kicker by College Football News and Fiso was named an Honorable Mention All-American.

Gonzalez is enjoying one of the best seasons ever for a freshman kicker at Arizona State as he has hit on 22 of his 26 field goal attempts.

Fiso took over the starting SAM linebacker position in the middle of the season and registered 63 tackles which is the third highest total on the team.

Keep your eye out for more All-America updates from House of Sparky this week as different organizations announce their selections.
