The Arizona State Sun Devils received a commitment from New Mexico Military Institute defensive lineman Edmond Boateng Monday, according to Hod Rabino of Devils Digest.
Boateng weighs in at 6'4", 275 pounds and is ranked as a four-star prospect (No. 25 JUCO recruit) by ESPN.com. He comes to Arizona State with three years of eligibility due to redshirting in 2012.
Edmond made his official visit to Arizona State last weekend. He had received scholarship offers from at least 11 other teams including Arizona, Cincinnati, Miami (FL), Utah and West Virginia. Boateng finished his most recent junior college season with 19 tackles and two sacks across 11 games.
Boateng is Todd Graham's 23rd known commitment for the 2014 class. Including Boateng, Graham and his staff have added four defensive lineman commits as they look to fill the void left by departing seniors Will Sutton, Gannon Conway and Davon Coleman.
