Viliami Latu Commits To Arizona State, Joining Twin Brother A.J. Latu

The Sun Devils will have some brotherly love at the linebacker position, as both Viliami and A.J. Latu committed to ASU on National Signing Day

Viliami Latu, a four star recruit according to Rivals, has officially committed to Arizona State on National Signing Day 2013. Latu chose the Sun Devils back in October, along with his twin brother, A.J. Both brothers play linebacker, though Viliami is a middle linebacker while A.J. plays on the outside.

Latu attended Rancho Cucumonga High School in Southern California. At 6-2 and 230 pounds, Latu has the right tools to be competitive early on for playing time in his ASU career. The Sun Devils need depth at the linebacker position after the departure of senior captain Brandon Magee, but Carl Bradford, Steffon Martin and Chris Young will be valuable mentors to the Latu brothers.

Rivals ranked Viliami Latu as the #13 MLB recruit in the country. He will be a very important piece of the Sun Devils defense within the next few seasons.

Here's a clip of Latu in action from his junior season.
