Nick Kelly To Arizona State: Junior College Offensive Lineman Chooses ASU over Nevada And Wyoming

The Sun Devils add depth at the center position with the addition of the offensive lineman from Orangevale, California.

USA TODAY Sports

Junior College offensive lineman Nick Kelly signed with the Arizona State Sun Devils in December 2012 and joins Todd Graham's 2013 recruiting class. Kelly played last season at American River Junior College in Sacramento, California, and chose the Sun Devils over Wyoming and Nevada.

Kelly has good size for a center (6-3, 280) and has good strength and agility for his size and some expect he can come in and push for playing time immediately.

Koby Koebensky, who started every game in 2012 at center, will be a senior in 2013 and expect Kelly to battle Mo Latu for the backup center spot and compete for the starting job in 2014.

A football team can never have too many offensive lineman and Kelly brings depth to the center position. ESPN ranks Kelly as a three-start prospect, with a 74 overall rating on a scale to 100.

It is also important to note that Kelly has already enrolled at Arizona State, meaning he is participating in the team's offseason conditioning and can partake in spring practice.
