In addition to Iowa State, Haack drew some interest from Miami (FL), Notre Dame and Stanford, according to Rivals.
An Arizona native, Haack comes back to Tempe from Des Moines, Iowa, where he played for Dowling High School. Interestingly, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Haack made his biggest impact as a wide receiver, becoming one of the most prolific deep threats in Iowa's Class 4A.
However, due to team need, Haack added punting to his arsenal, and his strong left leg earned the attention of his dream school of Arizona State.
Haack will have large kicking shoes to fill, as ASU lost arguably the nation's best punter in Josh Hubner. The team's punting job will be handed over to Haack, as the program's only scholarship punter.
