Antonio Longino signs his letter on intent on National Signing Day 2013, to give Arizona State yet another talented Junior College commitment. The 3-star middle linebacker according to Scout passed up on an offer from Arkansas to take his talents to Tempe.
The linebacker from Hutchinson, Kansas went on official tours of both ASU and Arkansas, but he had some other appealing offers in Texas A&M, Mississippi State and West Virginia.
The 6-foot-2 junior college transfer will be a junior for the Sun Devils and will learn from the talented linebacker core of Carl Bradford, Steffon Martin and Chris Young. Longino will be included in an already impressive LB recruiting class for coach Todd Graham. He will have an outside chance to see some playing time immediately due to the absence of Brandon Magee.
According to Rival, he is the No. 32 overall Junior College prospect and third best linebacker prospect. His Hutchinson Community College teammate, four-star defensive tackle Toby Johnson, is still uncommitted and has no interest in the Sun Devils despite the scholarship offer.
In late 2012, Arkansas was said to be the front runner to land this junior college gem. Instead, he will be wearing maroon and gold on Saturdays.
