According to multiple reports, Concord, California, athlete Dasmond Tautalatasi has committed to Arizona State. Tautalatasi and his family have been in Tempe the past few days on a visit, taking in ASU football media day yesterday and Arizona State's morning practice on Sunday.
Tautalatasi plays for Northern California powerhouse De La Salle, a team that is ranked preseason No. 1 by Maxpreps. He is ranked by ESPN as the No. 148 athlete in the nation and the 125th best player in the state of California.
Tautalatasi reportedly had offers from seven schools including Washington State, Utah State, San Jose State and Nevada. Scout.com ranks him as the 59th best safety prospect in the nation and both recruiting services rank him as a three-star prospect.
The senior to be and his family were seen interacting with Will Sutton and other members of the Arizona State team yesterday at media day. His family met with co-defensive coordinator Paul Randolph and according to State Press and Devils Digest, Tautalatasi pulled the trigger this morning.

Just a friendly reminder that this is another verbal commitment and nothing is binding until the first week in February. Tautalatasi (assuming he plays safety in college) is the fifth defensive back of ASU's 2014 class, joining Tyler Whiley, Chad Adams, Jamal Scott and Jordan Thomas.
Here is a highlight video of Tautalatasi in his junior year.
