Last week, it was a boom. This time, it's a bomb.
On Wednesday afternoon, coach Todd Graham tipped off the Sun Devils' latest verbal commitment with a signature tweet confirming the big news.
ASUDevils.com first reported that three-star safety Jamal Scott out of Magnolia High School in California verbally committed to Arizona State on Wednesday. After the initial reports, the Sun Devil coaching staff harmonized with Graham by releasing tweets of their own.

Most major recruiting services including Rivals.com, Scout, and 247 Sports consider Scott a three-star defensive back, and 247 Sports ranks Scott as the 127th top player in California for his class.
Arizona State offered Scott on May 31, and he made his official visit to Tempe on July 26. On July 27, Scott visited the Arizona Wildcat football program on Tucson, as he also has an offer from coach Rich Rodriguez.
Scott chose Arizona State over offers from Oregon State, San Diego State, Utah, and others. 247 Sports reports that Scott had interest in UCLA, but did not have a scholarship offer from the Bruins.
Scott's verbal commitment marks the ninth commitment the Sun Devils have received for the Class of 2014 and the second defensive player to pledge his allegiance to Arizona State in as many weeks.
