Moments after securing a commitment from linebacker Khaylan Thomas, Arizona State added another linebacker in four-star Davon Durant. He committed to the Sun Devils on his Twitter account not even 30 minutes after Thomas.

Durant is the No. 8 JUCO prospect in the nation at his position, and comes from Butler County Community College. He had three sacks and three tackles-for-loss on the season.
Durant de-committed from South Carolina and was mulling offers from Florida State, Georgia and Texas A&M, according to ASUDevils.com. He is expected to transfer midyear and enroll at Arizona State in January, according to DevilsDigest.com.
Durant is a four-star recruit according to both Rivals and 247sports.com. JC Shurburtt of 247sports.com had this to say about Durant leaving South Carolina in this article:
Durant has a clearer path to enroll at ASU in January than he does at South Carolina because of different requirements for junior college transfers from each conference.
That being said, the Gamecocks have been aware of his academic situation since accepting a commitment from him last summer. Arizona State continued to work him behind the scenes and had the standout linebacker in for a visit over the summer.
Durant is the third linebacker recruit in the 2015 class, joining Thomas and Malik Lawal.
