George Lea, a 3-star defensive lineman from New Orleans, Louisiana committed to Arizona State Wednesday evening. ASUdevils.com was first with the news on Twitter.

Lea is a member of the class of 2015 at Landry-Walker High School, the same place as current players Emanuel Dayries and Corey Smith. The school emerged last year from the merger of O. Perry Walker and L.B. Landry High Schools and play in 4A. Both play historically fast-paced similar to the scheme Arizona State runs. They're both consistently in the running for state championships and have sent players to SEC schools.
Lea was fielding offers from Colorado, Kansas State, Washington State and Utah among others according to Rivals which has him as a 3-star recruit. He is also ranked No. 40 at his position and No. 35 in the state of Louisiana according to Rivals. Lea is a 3-star recruit according to ESPN and is ranked No. 49 at his position and No. 36 in the state by the worldwide leader.
He took his official visit to Arizona State last weekend according to 247Sports and stands 6-foot-3 weighing 260 pounds according to Rivals. Lea is the No. 16 commit in the Sun Devils 2015 class. He joins Alfred Smith and Jalen Bates, also from Louisiana.
